Entre las diversas estrategias para promocionar el pensamiento crítico, se proponen cuatro (INQUIRY, QUESTIONING, PROBLEM SOLVING Y COLLABORATION), por ser, según el autor, las de mayor impacto.

Buena síntesis a la hora de implementar en el aula, de manera colaborativa,  el aprendizaje significativo y el pensamiento crítico         , siendo clave plantear ‘guiding questions’, de naturaleza abierta (‘open-ended’), en la actividad diaria con los estudiantes.
